Fastnet Line

Ferry services between Swansea and Cork are back in business

Fastnet Line operates the car ferry service between cork in Southern Ireland and Swansea in South Wales.

The Fastnet service operates year-round with four weekly ferry services in each direction in the peak months of July and August and three weekly services in each direction from September to June.

The service is available to foot passengers, cars, caravans and freight traffic and since its launch on March 2010 has renewed a vital trade and tourism link between the UK and Southern Ireland.

MV Julia of Fastnet Line

The service eliminates almost 400 miles of driving on a round-trip from Cork to London, and the overnight crossings ensure you arrive refreshed and ready to commence your onward journey when you arrive in Cork or Swansea.

Fastnet Line’s single ferry, the MV Julia, can carry 1,500 passengers, 350 cars, 40 trucks and has 300 cabins.
